When my old stick vac died, I went in search of a replacement to use as a quick pick-up on my laminate and tile floors. After trying at least 3 other models, I finally found the Optima. It works great, even on pet hair. The "blower" can blow the stuff around a bit, but it also helps me "find" it. At first, I thought the hose was broken (didn't pick up at all). Then I discovered the knob to change from floor to hose and now it works great. For the money, this has to be the best little vac available.

Just keep an eye on the filter - it fills up quickly with pet hair, then you have to really clean it (I use FlyLady's Rubba Scrubba to clean it - [...]).

My Bissel just quit sucking and I didn't realize it until about 2 weeks ago.All this time I thought I was cleaning and I was just pushing around a piece of junk with an empty collection cup.I bought this vacuum mainly because of the good reviews.I would have gotten something cheaper if it weren't for reading what others had to say.I'm glad I paid the extra money because this vac is PERFECT.I don't have pets,but I shed a lot of hair myself and I needed something that could go on hard floors.This vac sucks up dirt 5 inches away and it gets the crap by the floor boards that you'd usually have to use a hose for.It moves into small spaces like the spot between my toilet and bathtub (tiny).I store it in my little laundry room perfectly whereas I would have to move a regular sized vacuum out to do my laundry.I love it,so if you're thinking about getting a new vacuum,get this one!

We've had this vacuum for a couple of years and it has been great. Lightweight and easy to haul upstairs; really picks up the dirt and animal hair. I recommend wearing earplugs, it is a bit loud. Motor did burn out after 2+ years, but for the money, it is a great deal...we are going to purchase another one!

I bought this vacuum last night at Target I must admit I was a bit sceptical as it was so small. Ah but don't be fooled by its size it works like a Pro! I own a [...] vacuum, and I have to say this eureka pics up pet hair better than my vacuum I have never seen so much pet hair come out of my vacuum that came out of this Tiny Eureka! I bought this little guy for my kids because they continue to mess up my expensive vacuum but I think the kids may be the proud owner of a [..]Vac! The ONLY draw back to this little Eureka is the Cord is way to short and the filter needs to be cleaned often or it will loose that GREAT suction that it has! I love the handle my 8 year old can now vacuum with this handy adjustabel eureka! When they [..] kicks the bucket which better not be for about 10 more years I will be buying another Eureka Pet vac! Do not waste your money on [..] this little guy works just as good if not better!! GO FOR IT BUY A EUREKA OPTIMA LIGHTWEIGHT!! You will not be sorry!

I bought this vacuum to replace a 20 year old vacuum. I did a lot of research and found this one to have the best reviews. It's so lightweight that even my daughter can push it. I love the adjustable handle being that I am 5 feet tall and my husband is 6 feet tall, the canister is easy to empty and the suction power is great. To tell you how good of a job it does would mean that I would have to admit how dirty my carpets were even after using my 20 year old vacuum. The amount of dog and cat hair that was picked up by this vacuum was shocking. I've had this vacuum for about 2 months and I use it everyday. My only complaint: the cord needs to be longer.

if your looking for a good vacuum but you are not trying to spend alot, this is it.
I purchased this vacuum a week ago at a Target store, (so yeah I had to pay [..]:( ) I was very skeptical after reading the reviews because I didn't want to purchase something expense but I didn't want something that will break down on me either. So I did more research on the specifications and I decided to make the purchase. It was well worth it.
The suction on this machine is amazing. My rug was a dirty mess before I got home with the vac but once I passed it on the rug,you can literally see a suction mark around the area I passed it on. I was great! The power on this little machine is awesome so I really don't regret spending a little more than the [..]Target is now selling it for.
I do recommend cleaning the filter out often if you have four kids like me because it can get messy.
I never really leave any reviews but I know how difficult it can be to buy something your not sure about it. Especially when you don't really have the cash to shell out for it. This is a necessity though if you have rugs and I feel great about the nasty dust I am removing from our home. I really hope this review can help. If you take care of the vac and understand it's a [..] vac and not a expensive one, then your expectations will be a little more realistic. Although this vac has really surpassed my expectations on how good it is. It does not feel like a cheap vac at all. Enjoy!!!

This vacuum cleaner picks up everything. Its a great price! It is great for pet hair and lint. Great price and vacuum cleaner. I am very satisfied.

I read a number of reviews on this vacuum on various websites and found both raves and rants before buying and decided to try my luck. Personally, this vacuum is perfect. It replaces a 15-year old Filter Queen that had seen better days. I've vacuumed several times during the last couple of weeks since purchasing the Eureka Optima and am amazed by the amount of dirt I am still pulling up from the carpet. I live alone and keep my apartment closed up at all times, so it isn't that there is a great deal of daily fresh dirt coming in...just that much hung up in the rug after using the old FQ this past year in this particular apartment. This vacuum was extremely easy to assemble, the dirt cup and filter easy to clean, and it is very compact. Definitely worth the money.

The vacuum kept clogging up. My carpet is plush carpet and the vacuum kept clogging up with the carpet fibers. I had it fixed once, but it happened again. I have decided to just get another vacuum instead of paying to have it fixed again, it just wouldn't be worth it.
